Running a Facebook Giveaway

We are all aware that Facebook reach for pages is down, but that doesn’t mean it’s now impossible to get any organic reach at all. Sometimes you just have to incentivize people, and running a Facebook giveaway is a great way to do that.

The important thing with any giveaway is that you are offering a prize that is directly related to your business – that way you will get people signing up who genuinely love what you offer and want to hear from you in the future. Therefore, don’t just offer something random, like an Amazon gift card, instead make the prize one of your own products or services. If you only offer high ticket services, for example like coaching, then you can always just offer a taster – e.g. an hour’s strategy call with you. If you sell products on your website then offer one of these, a gift basket of several products grouped together or even a gift card to a certain value for your own store.

People love to tell others about giveaways so this way you will get some natural shares – however, as outlined in the video below, don’t ask for likes or shares as this goes against the terms of Facebook. There are also some other rules you need to pay attention to – and I have outlined those in the video – remember, rules on Facebook change all the time so it’s important that you make your own checks into the current rules before posting a giveaway.

This should not be taken as legal advice, I am just giving you an example of what I do, so please make your own checks into this.

I’ve included as much info on this topic as I can in the video below, so I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section below.
